Re: Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 - Not Working. It works similar to Bluetooth, but each pair has a dedicated frequency. Usually either pressing the tiny switch where the 'dongle' lives when not in use, or re-plugging the dongle into a USB socket connects/resets it. Unfortunately, because the units are 'paired', you can't try a different mouse
Corsairs single dongle wireless promise is a marketing scam. It literally does not work. IT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST. Corsair has been selling the capability for well over a year and it does not exist. People are getting burned buying the product only to find out its just a lie. ***CURRENT UPDATE:***

If one or more of those teeth is out of square it can make fitment into an older slot difficult, but into a new and tight slot all but impossible.

When I connect the (ps2) keyboard and (ps2) mouse directly to the dimension using the ps2-to-usb adapters, the keyboard is sensed through the adapter, but not the mouse. I have tried a variety of usb ports on the dimension, and I have switched the two adapters - the results have not changed. And a usb mouse in any of those usb ports works fine.
